Have a great day!
My name is Aaron Jordan and I am extremely proud to be at Liberty Elementary. I received a Bachelor of Science in Music from Grace University, a Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Master of Music in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Along with teaching music I am an avid composer, songwriter, and performer.
My teaching philosophy has been shaped by my extensive training in The Kodaly Concept which, in alignment with the national standards for music, has a special focus on music literacy. This philosophy emphasizes conceptual understanding in areas that reflect the actual processes in which musicians engage, cultivating the student’s ability to carry out the three artistic processes of creating, performing, and responding to music.
Please feel free to explore this webpage for more on what your child will learn in music class, why it's important, and how you can help!
It has been said that the arts develops the student behind the test scores. Receiving quality instruction in music helps shape students in ways that nothing else can!
