Counseling

Counselors throughout Omaha Public Schools work to develop student success in academic, social and college and career readiness.  Counselors interact with students regularly. They provide classroom instruction and activities to develop academic and emotional skills. They also provide individual and small group counseling. These small group settings can help students resolve conflicts, practice skills and think through their actions. As students are registering for high school classes and/or preparing for the next stage of life after graduation, counselors are there to support students as they think about their hobbies, skills and future goals.
